Global MMOG

A collaborative effort of Odette International and AIAG, the Global MMOG/LE document is a common material management guideline for all of Europe and North America. The two organisations came together to produce the Global Material Management Operations Guidelines - Logistics Evaluation - one global guidelines for materials processes to reduce the workload for suppliers and customers.

The guideline is a combination of AIAG's MMOG and Odette's Logistics Evaluation documents that provides a global logistics evaluation standard for evaluating an organisation's capability of logistics processes. The joint work group considered suggestions made by users of the Odette Logistics Evaluation and the MMOG, which were implemented in the new guideline. The revised evaluation score sheet places suppliers in an "A", "B", or "C" classification based on the organisations compliance. If a company is deficient in one or more critical areas they will automatically receive a "C" rating.

Automotive OEM's and suppliers can use this document for internal assessments, benchmarking current state/best practices, driving continuous improvement, supplier development, evaluating and improving supplier performance.

The document also includes an optional section for companies to explain plans for future systems to meet customer requirements, which can be communicated to the customers.

The Global MMOG/Logistics Evaluation is aligned with ISO/TS 16949:2002.
Having the common goals of ISO/TS 16949:2002-continuous improvement, defect prevention and reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain-the document can be used as a materials planning and logistics audit. It is mapped to existing elements of ISO/TS 16949:2002, containing numbering and terminology consistent with the standard.
